Our 2021 Year in Review

Dear Movement Makers,

Earlier this month, as I thought about how I wanted to close out the year, I decided to shift my focus to all the things I’m grateful for. I’m a bit of a perfectionist and tend to focus on the problems or things that I believe are “wrong” or “missing”...but the truth is I have so much. All I have to do is look around, reflect, and show gratitude. 

In that spirit, I am grateful for all of you who have engaged with Ìpàdé and made this community what it is, and shown the world what it can become. This year has gone by quickly but so much has happened. We gathered our community together for the first time in person. We enhanced our knowledge and power through business development workshops. And we’ve made inroads to opening our first location in the heart of DC.

In between all of this there was a lot of brainstorming, learning from mentors and members of this community, researching and pursuing real estate deals, lamenting lack and rejection, choosing to step into abundance, celebrating wins, reminding myself to enjoy the process, and giving myself grace. Whew!

Thank you for an amazing year! I am grateful for each and every person who reads this email, who follows us on social media, who gathered with us in person, and who eagerly awaits our opening in 2022! Working to make this dream a reality is truly an amazing experience. I appreciate your support, encouragement, and patience as it blooms.
