What is a co-working space?

A co-working space is a shared workspace where people from various companies and walks of life can come together and utilize the space and amenities. Co-working spaces offer flexibility in work location and provides entrepreneurs, creatives, and other professionals an opportunity to meet new people, grow their networks, and find community they wouldn’t have by working from home or in isolation. Typically, co-working spaces have desks, conference rooms, office supplies, and other resources that help you get work done. Because of how COVID-19 changed the world and the way we work, more people will be working from home or remotely than ever before. But working from home can be isolating and blur the lines and boundaries some people like to keep between home and work.

Co-working can help you take your endeavors to the next level!

Benefits of co-working include collaboration, connection, and community with people who share your interests, passions, and professional goals. Other benefits include boosts in focus, creativity, and productivity. Being surrounded by individuals who are also in a space to work and network can help you create strategic partnerships, find people to join your team, and meet mentors and champions who can help you and your business or enterprise grow.

Furthermore, working in a space away from the comfy bed that’s calling your name, active kids, or chores and maintenance to do around the house will put you in a more focused mindset. Boundaries are critical for focus and productivity. Setting work and home boundaries can help you work more efficiently and effectively.

Lastly, lower cost and flexibility are definitely factors to consider when deciding whether to join a co-working space. Whether you have a team or are flying solo, the flexible membership terms, special amenities, and networking and growth opportunities that come with a co-working space are well worth it.
